Strategy for Playing Heads Up Online Poker

Strategy for Playing Heads Up Online Poker

One of the best ways to improve your poker game is to play heads up. Many players lack experience playing very short-handed or head up, and this can hurt should you get to this point in a major tournament or an SnG. Plus, heads-up provides you with the most experience you can possibly get for your money since you are basically playing every hand. Both Full Tilt and PokerStars offer huge amounts of heads-up games at every conceivable dollar amount as well as games other than NL Hold'em, like Omaha, Razz, Stud, etc. Playing these games from time to time, whether or not you play for much money, provides you with a great experience that you will use when you come to heads-up play later on.
Many players are intimidated to play heads up, which is all the more reason why you should practice it! Playing poker one-on-one is a totally different experience than sitting at a full table and requires different play and different skill sets. I can always spot someone who has no prior experience playing heads up when I get to that point in a tournament; usually, they make the mistake of waiting for good cards much like they would at a full table and it is then easy to run all over them. As I said, adjusting is key, and once you are down to heads-up play you are in a totally different world. Playing these games before you get there in a large tournament is key to developing these skill sets and adjustments. As a side note, action junkies will love playing heads up since you have the possibility of playing every single hand!

From time to time, when I get into a run playing large tournaments, I will switch to heads up to build my bankroll, as many of the players I will run into don't have much experience playing this way. Keep this in mind as you practice and if you are one of these players, don't make the mistake of playing for too much money too soon! Use it as practice until you become good enough to make money at it. Walk before you run!

So, if you find your poker game in a rut, or if heads up is not something you are very familiar with, try playing some small games online. Not only is it good practice, but it is also a lot of fun and prepares you for the time you are playing heads-up for some big dough in a tournament.

Gold Rule of Poker

Gold Rule of Poker

I'm writing this article because I noticed that a lot of people don't know how to handle their poker bankroll and quite often they do a lot of big mistakes which will make their money to wipe out.

From my poker player experience, I know that the most important thing in becoming a winning poker player is knowing how to handle your bankroll. This is more important than your knowledge of poker.

It is crucial to know at what limits you should play, when to stop playing and when to play more.

For example, if you have a bad day and lose a lot of money you should take a break and do something that relaxes you, I noticed that a lot of poker payers, when are losing they pay more to cover their losses but they end losing more and making crucial mistakes in their game.

When you are playing at a poker table you should never think about the money, because if you do that you will increase the pressure on you and you will make some mistakes in your game which will cost you a lot of money. You should concentrate only on your game, on how it would be the best way to play the hand not on what if I lose this money.

It doesn't matter how much money you have in your account if you play at the right limits.
For example, if you have 50$ and play at 0.05-0.1 over time you will win and progress the limits and increase your bankroll. You should never do the mistake to withdraw your money when you have a little profit because that will make you go right back to the point you started and you can't move up the limits.

If you want to begin playing poker I would recommend playing at party poker, because there the game is easier and you could move up the limits faster.
If you want a bonus code just visit my site and besides the regular bonus of 100% up to 500$ you will receive an extra 25$ which you can withdraw at any time you want.

Since the everyday online poker player is looking for nothing more than the interpersonal stimulus of a small stakes card game to help decompress after a nerve-racking workweek, a poker bankroll makes about as much sense as buying coffee in the morning bankroll.
